Hi everyone. My name is Shannon Manning and I am 13 years old. I am from Berkley, Massachusetts which is in The United States of America. It is sooooo cool that you guys made a site where people can learn about your school and your life in Ireland. It is so different than my school. I go to Berkley Middle School in Berkley, Massachusetts. I am in the Eighth grade. I have never heard of some of your sports. Some of my favorite sports are cheerleading, dance, and basketball. Allthough I seem very american don't worry I am very much irish. I hope to one day visit my relatives in Ireland but untill then your site is a good way to connect with Ireland. WOW! I am writing alot. Sorry, but I am soooo excited to be talking to kids who could possibly be my distant relatives. Well you have a great site, good job with it. until nextime, ttfn (ta ta for now).

Hi there, I am a teacher of 9 year-olds in the south-west of England. This week is our International Week and in my class we have been studying Tanzania. We had some African drummers in yesterday and every child in the school had chance to try African drumming or dancing. It was great. Our website address is http://www.st-peters.n-somerset.sch.uk/index.html. If we get funding for our Comenius Project I might be able to come and visit you in person! I would really love that. Bye for now, Linda Owen

Hi to everyone in 5th and 6th .

Was often wondering about a classmate JIM CORBETT from a year I spent at Mount Melleray as part of my priesthood studies from 1959-1960- he was a student at the college ( High School) and I was in the Philosophy Department. We communicated after he went to France, he had a sister Marie. They were from Cappoquin, County Waterford Ireland. Would love to hear from or about him?

Hello! Wonderful site! I'm a retired teacher (mainly grades 4-6) and I came upon your web site as I was doing some genealogy research. My family came from Dungarvan and environs and so I've been exploring related web pages, trying to "dig up" whatever info is available on the Mulcahy family. Wish I had had the internet to use in the classroom. At the time it was mainly used for research, nothing compared to your grand site. I'm so pleased to see all the marvelous work you and your students have produced. I'd certainly grade it as A+ !!!!

I just wanted all of the children at the White Church school to know how much I enjoyed reading the wonderful stories and pictures they made for your web site. I too attend school so I can learn how to be a teacher, and I work in a public school here in Westchester with boys and girls in Kindergarten which is the same as high-infants in Ireland. I really love being with children, and am always amazed at how much we learn from each other. I am so happy to have found this web site and will be sure to share it with my friends. Have a terrific school year. Sincerely, Julia Fagan

Congratulations on your web site. It is really wonderful. Just for the cover picture of the point-to-point meeting alone it deserves special praise. It really shows how the internet can be used to the best advantage.

I really enjoyed your page about the birds of prey. You really had an up close encounter with some beautiful creatures. You looked like you were so respectful of these magnificent birds in the pictures you posted.
We have several bird houses hanging from the windows of our school, and really enjoy watching the birds come to feed. We are right in the middle of New York City. The Empire State Building and The Twin Towers are our skyline to the north and south.
As we are in a city, we don't see a great variety of birds. I think pigeons are the most common. I grew up in Abbeyside so I know you have the opportunity to see a great variety of birds in the wild, just going about their business as you go about yours. I can remember seeing robins, starlings, thrushes, blackbirds, magpies, crows and of course so many sea gulls. It was Abbeyside.

Great to visit your site!
