Michael Schumacher Michael Schumacher came in 8th place in Suzuka, in the Japanese Grand Prix. He started in 14th position on the grid. Kimi Raikkonen {Michael's rival} came in 2nd position in the race and started in 8th on the grid ahead of his teammate David Couthard who started 7th and came 3rd. Rubbeuns Barrichello came in 1st position and he started in pole posistion. Ralf Schumacher started 22nd because he had a spin on the grass and had low oil after the spin. If Kimi came first and got 10 points he would have become world champion and made history. But he didn't and Michael won the driver championship and won his 6th world championship in a row. The old school In the old school there were 499 people. There were 28 boys and girls in my old classroom and one of the girls went. My best four friends were Harvey, Rufus, Rheys and Dominic. The subjects we did were maths, literacy, science, geography, gymnastics and team games. We only had two pieces of homework in a term. Each term we had a sports day. I came second three times and first once. We went on a Victorian walk. I went as a chimney sweep. One day I played rugby for the school, At the end I had a bleeding nose. Tom Ballinameela Long Ago ================= I live in Ballinameela, Cappagh, Co. Waterford. It is a very nice area. There are lots of farms in this area. Lots of nice green fields and a lot of crops growing. Today we have no shops, no railway station, no pubs, no garda barracks, in Ballinameela. Years ago the people had loads of shops and pubs. Years ago in Ballinameela there was an old garda barracks. It was up near the petrol station. There was one sergeant and three guards. The sargent’s name was sergeant Deasy. It closed in the 1970’s. There was a creamery in Cappagh, with a shop. The farmers used to deliver their milk there in churns. They used horses and carts and later on used tractors. It closed in the 1970’s There was a railway station where the Duggans are now living. The trains used to go from Waterford to Cork everyday at 10a.m. and back at 4.15p.m. The station master was called Mr. Eugene Flanagan. Back in the 1940’s – 1980’s there was about five shops. One was opposite the church, it was called Barrons. Like all the others they sold milk, bread, tea, sugar and lots more. Some of them sold newspapers. Now we have no shops in Ballinameela, but we are getting a new Community Centre. by Conor Poems Mary Mary quite contrary How does your garden grow, Nothing to do with nosey old you, So mind your own business and go.

School tour to Limerick University On the thirtieth of May 2003 we went on our School tour to Limerick University. Before we went we were split into three groups, group K, L, M. We were in group K. We all got on the bus at school at 7.30 a.m , and we got there at 9.30 a.m. First we did orienteering. Orienteering is a game when you're given a map with x’s on it. You first go and find where the x’s are and where the x’s are is a letter. You write down the letters, when you have them all down you unscramble letters and find the sentence. After that we went swimming in the Olympic-size pool. It was fifty meters long. We were in it for an hour. After that we played spongy polo. Later we played soccer on an astro-turf pitch. It was lunch time then. After lunch we went rafting, which was really fun. There was a man in the middle of the raft pouring water on us. When we’d finished rafting we went canoeing, It was very, very fun. It took a while to get us used to it. The last thing we did was archery. Finally we went to Burger King and back to school. We got back to school at 7.30 p.m. by Luke, Jack and Michael. And finally, just to cheer you up, here is...

It could, and should, have been a more commanding one, however, with Kieran O’Connor squandering a glorious goal chance in added-time when he blazed wide from eight metres after being set up by his brother Neilly. Scorers for John Mitchels: N. O’Connor(0-3, 0-2 frees, 0-1 "45”); K. Nolan(0-2); J. Power(0-2, frees); P. Kirwan(0-1).
